Abolishing Pounds in Hutt County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council
of Wellington intituled "The Wellington
Impounding Act, 1874," it is enacted that it shall be
lawful for the Superintendent from time to time, by
Proclamation published in the Provincial Gazette,
to declare that any place shall be a pound within the
meaning of and under the provisions of that Act, and
in like manner to abolish any pound and establish
any other in lieu thereof: And whereas by "The
Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," the powers vested
in the Superintendent by the said Act are now vested
in the Governor :
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in
me by the said recited Acts, do hereby proclaim that
from the date of this Proclamation all existing pounds
within the Hutt County are hereby abolished.
Dog Registrars appointed.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The
(Canterbury) Dog Nuisance Ordinance, Session
XVII., No. 3," "The (Canterbury) Dog Nuisance
Amendment Ordinance, 1862," and "The Abolition
of Provinces Act, 1875," I, George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
persons whose names appear in the first column of
the Schedule hereto, to be the persons to register
dogs for the places set opposite their names re-
spectively in the second column of the said Schedule:
And I do further appoint the places mentioned in
the third column of the said Schedule to be the offices
at which persons shall register their dogs.

Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House,

High School.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in me for this purpose by "The
Waitaki High School Act, 1878," I, George Augustus
Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that
the first meeting of the Waitaki High School Board
shall be held in the County Council Chambers, Thames
Street, Oamaru, on Thursday, the twentieth day of
February instant, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
