LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

NOTICE is hereby given that MARGARET
WILLIAMS, of Lawrence, in the Provincial
District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand,
Widow of JOSEPH WILLIAMS, late of Lawrence,
aforesaid, Storekeeper, deceased, has made application
to District Registrar of the District of
Otago to be registered as Proprietor in fee-simple
of Section numbered 1, Block XLIV., and Sections
8, 19, and 20, Block XXXVII., in the Town of
Lawrence aforesaid, as Devisee under the Will of the
said Joseph Williams deceased; and that the said
Margaret Williams will be so registered as such
proprietor, unless caveat be lodged at this office for-
bidding the same within one calendar month from
the date of publication of this notice.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that ALBERT BECK,
of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago,
in the Colony of New Zealand, Storekeeper, WIL-
LIAM HENRY BECK, of Rangiora, in the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury and said colony,
Minister of the Gospel, and JOHN BORRIE, of
Dunedin, aforesaid, Customhouse Officer, have made
application to the District Land Registrar of the
District of Otago to be registered as Proprietors in
fee-simple of all that parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections
numbered 18 and 19, Block VII., in the Town of
Waikouaiti, in the said Provincial District of Otago,
as Devisees under the Will of HENRY BECK, late of
Dunedin, aforesaid, Settler, deceased; and that the
said Albert Beck, William Henry Beck, and John
Borrie will be so registered as such proprietors, unless
caveat be lodged at this office forbidding the same
within one calendar month from the date of publica-
tion of this notice.

Arrow, in the Mining District of Otago Gold
Fields, and to all others whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race for other than gold-mining purpose,
to wit, for farm machinery purposes, commencing at
a point known as Clear-Water Creek, east side of
Cardrona Creek, in the Cardrona Valley, terminating
at Agricultural Area, Section 47, Block I., Mount
Barker Block, under the provisions of subsection 1
of Section 31 of "The Mines Act, 1877." Length of
race is one and a half miles or thereabouts; course,
northerly; mean depth, 2 feet; breadth, 3 feet.
Thirty days are required to construct said race,
and it is proposed to divert two Government-heads
of water.

Dated at Arrowtown, this seventeenth day of
January, 1879.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.

Tuapeka, 12th December, 1878.
To the Warden at Lawrence.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for
mining purposes, commencing at a point on the
Beaumont River, distant about two miles from
Flagstaff Hill, May's Diggings, and terminating at
Gabriel's Gully.

The length of such race is about thirty miles or
thereabouts, and its intended course is south-
easterly.

The mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and its
mean breadth is 3 feet, and it is proposed to
divert twenty Government-heads of water.

irrigation purposes, commencing at a point in Chasm
Creek, about half a mile above John McLaughlin's
Hotel, Shingle Creek, and terminating at the lagoon
