NOTICE.
Native Land Court Office,
Auckland, December 1, 1879.

WHEREAS it is enacted by "The Native Lands Act, 1873," that upon a request being made in that
behalf by the Land Claims Commissioner for the time being under "The Land Claims Settlement
Acts 1856, and 1858," to any Judge of the Court in any district established under the first-named Act, and
such Judge shall proceed as soon as conveniently may be in and towards the investigation and settlement of
such claims:

And whereas Charles Heaphy, Esq., V.C., has requested me to investigate and settle the claim of
Cornelius Prout, to all that piece of land situate at Coromandel being the Tiki Block, in the District of
Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 100 acres. Bounded in front by the sea, on the
North by land claimed by Mr. Preece, commencing at Te Tiki, running along a footpath to Mr. Prout's
house, and thence along a footpath to Paiaka on the Waihau Creek, on the South by Te Rewarewa, and
thence to Taurangakawau; on the South by Taurangakawau Swamp till it arrives at the fence at the back of
Mr. Prout's-100 acres. be the same a little more or less, and whereof the boundaries are set out in the
survey plan of the same:

Now, therefore, I, Francis Dart Fenton, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby give notice
that a Court will be holden at Coromandel on the 4th day of February, 1880, commencing at ten of the
clock in the forenoon, for the purpose aforesaid.

Komihana mo nga Kereme Whenua i whakaturia nei i ruuga i nga tikanga o "Te Ture Whakarite
Kereme Whenua, 1856," me "Te Ture Whakarite Kereme Whenua, 1858," ki tetahi o nga Kaiwhakawa o
Te Kooti Whenua Maori o tetahi o nga Takiwa i whakarite nei e "Te Ture Whenua Maori, 1873," he
tono kia whakawakia e ia etahi o aua tu Kereme, ka tahuri ia ki te whakawa ki te whakaoti hoki i aua
Kereme:

A notemea kua tae mai ki ahau he tono na Charles Heaphy, Esq., V.C. (Te Hiwhi), kia whakawakia kia
whakaotia hoki te kereme a Cornelius Prout, ki taua piihi whenua katoa ki Kapanga; ko tona ingoa ko
Tiki, i te Takiwa o Te Temu, i te Porowini Takiwa o Akarana. Ko nga rohe enei:-Ko te Moana, ko
tetahi whenua kua Keremetia e Te Pirihi, ko te huarahi ki te Whare o Mr. Prout (Parauti), ko te Huarahi
hoki i reira ki Paiaka, kei Waihau awa; ko te Rewarewa, ko Taurangakawau; a, te taiepa a Mr. Prout
(Parauti). Ko nga rohe kei te mapi o taua whenua e mau ana, ko te nui o taua whenua 100 eka, neke ake,
iti iho ranei, i te Takiwa o Te Temu, i te Porowini Takiwa o Akarana.

Na he Panuitanga tenei naku, na Te Penetana, na te Tumuaki Kaiwhakawa o te Kooti Whenua Maori,
kia mohiotia ai ka tu te Kooti Whenua Maori ki Kapanga, Karamaene, a te 4 o nga ra o Pepuere, 1880,
timata i te tekau o nga haora o te ata, hei whakawa i taua tono.
