Bank Holidays in Wellington and County of Hutt.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and autho-
rities enabling me in that behalf, I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby,
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, by Order in Council made
under the provisions of "The Bank Holidays Act,
1873," and "The Bank Holidays Amendment Act,
1878," of even date herewith. I have appointed
Thursday, the sixth day of February next, to be
observed as a bank holiday, and Friday, the seventh
day of February next, to be observed as a bank half-
holiday from the hour of noon, under and for the
purposes of the above-mentioned Acts, within the
City of Wellington and the County of Hutt.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same;
and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of
January, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

APPLICTION having been made to me to
register EDMUND NORCROSS CORSER,
of New Brighton, Farmer, as Proprietor of Rural
Section No. 24495, District of Christchurch, by
virtue of a memorandum of transfer from RICHARD
MAY MORTEN, of Stoneycroft, Stockowner, and a
statutory declaration as to the loss of the license to
occupy said section having been lodged with me:
Notice is hereby given that I shall comply with above
application, unless caveat forbidding the same be
lodged within fourteen days from the publication of
this notice.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that JOHN AIKMAN,
of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago,
in the Colony of New Zealand, Hotelkeeper, and
JOSEPH CULLING, of Moeraki, in the said pro-
vincial district, Farmer, have made application to
the District Land Registrar of the District of Otago
to be registered as Proprietors in fee-simple of
Sections 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block XI.,
Section 2, Block LVI., and Sections 12, 13, 14, 15,
and 16, Block VIII., in the Town of Hampden, as
Devisees under the Will of JOHN PROSSER, late of
Hampden aforesaid, Hotelkeeper, deceased; and that
the said John Aikman and Joseph Culling will be so
registered as such proprietors, unless caveat be lodged
at this office forbidding the same within one calendar
month from the date of publication of this notice.

Dated this 23rd day of January, 1879, at the
Lands Registry Office, Dunedin.
