All stations except those at Bluff, Invercargill, Port Chalmers, Dunedin, Oamaru,
Timaru, Christchurch, Lyttelton, and the Head Stations on all other sections, are
deemed to be country stations for the purpose of this order.
Demurrage.
One pound (£1) per truck per day demurrage will be charged for trucks not loaded
or unloaded by consignors or consignees within four working hours of their arrival.
If not discharged within that period, the goods may, at the option of the Manager,
be unloaded and stacked and stored at the risk and expense of the consignor.
Private Stores and Sidings.
Where the loading or unloading of traffic is done by owners at private stores and
sidings, the Government will take no responsibility for delivery of quantities or
weights, as declared by owners.
At private sidings all loading and unloading must be done by owners or consignees.
Demurrage at the rate of one pound (£1) per truck per day will be charged on trucks
not loaded or unloaded within four working hours after arrival.
No consignment of less than two tons will be delivered at or received from private
stores or sidings.
Public Vehicles.
The driver of any public vehicle plying for hire within the precincts of any railway
will be charged a fee of ten shillings (10s.) for a twelve months' license, to be issued
at the option of the Manager. No public vehicle will be allowed to ply within the
limits of the railway without a license.
PART IV.—LOCAL RATES.
The following rates will be charged upon the lines herein specified, instead of the
general rates specified in Parts I., II., and III. :-
AUCKLAND.

Sheep.
Sheep conveyed in two-floor trucks will be charged at one and a half the rates
charged for a single-floor truck.
KAIPARA RAILWAY.
Through ships' goods of Classes A, B, C, D, between Riverhead and Helensville,
will be charged 11s. 8d. per ton (including wharfage and handling), weight or
measurement, as per ship's manifest.
WELLINGTON.
CLASS N.—MINERALS.
The minimum charge on sand and gravel:—
From Lower Hutt and Petone Stations to Wellington Station ... 1s. 6d. per ton.
GREYMOUTH.

Greymouth to and from Brunnerton (second class) ... ... ... 1 s. d.
