- Tenders to be for a period of two years, from 1st January,
- † Services Nos. 4 to 9 are steam services, and tenderers should
state the name, tonnage, and horse-power of the steamer or
steamers to be employed, also the maximum freight per ton
and passage-fare which will be charged between Westport and
Karamea, Nelson and Karamea, and vice versa.
‡ Tenders will be received for services 1 to 7 individually, or
as a whole, and for two or three years.
Contractors, whose tenders may be accepted, must
be prepared to carry out the services for which they
tender according to the time-tables framed by the
department, and which may be seen at the Post
Offices from which the services start.
Forms of tender, with the terms and conditions of
contract, may be procured at any Post Office.
No tender will be considered unless made on the
printed form.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Mail Service, No.
," and addressed to the Postmaster-General,
Wellington, and enclosed to the Chief Postmaster of
the district to which the tender may specially refer.

ARCHIBALD DONNELLY MICHIE, of Melbourne,
Victoria, Solicitor, to be a Commissioner in Victoria
of the Supreme Court of this colony for taking any
oath, affidavit, or affirmation under the second section
of "The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act,
1875."

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers
within the meaning of the said Act are published for
general information:—
Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly
called the Church of England.

Gold-Mining Lease Certificate declared void.
IT is hereby notified in pursuance of "The Mines
Act, 1877," and regulations thereunder for the
granting and issue of gold-mining leases, that the
certificate of application No. 199c, granted to George
Henry Smith and another, for Section 22, Block I.,
St. Bathans, has, with the approval of the Land
Board of the Otago Land District, been declared
void; and the land is reopened for occupation as if
no such lease had been applied for.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this
fifteenth day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine.

IT is hereby notified in pursuance of "The Gold
Fields Act, 1866," and regulations thereunder for
the granting and issue of gold-mining leases, that gold-
mining lease No. 60c, of Section 51, Block XI.,
Skipper's Creek District, granted to Francis William
Macdonald, has, with the approval of the Land Board
of the Otago Land District, been cancelled; and
that the land is now open for occupation as if no
lease of the same had been granted.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this
fifteenth day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine.

Wakefield District, granted to Thomas Rooney and
others, has, with the approval of the Land Board of
the Otago Land District, been cancelled; and that
the land is now open for occupation as if no lease of
the same had been applied for.

fifteenth day of October, one thousand

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.
