Application for Registration of Trade Mark.
NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS,
Patent Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of
Victoria, has applied on behalf of Messrs. ROBERT
WRIGHT and ROBERT PAYNE, trading as the "Victoria
Preserving Company," at Chapel Street, South
Yarra, near Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria,
and also at Nos. 20 and 22, Flinders Lane West, in
the City of Melbourne aforesaid, to register under
"The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of
which the following is a description, viz. :-
Description of Trade Mark.
A red cross bearing three stars on its upright
portion and two on its cross piece. This cross is
sometimes used without the stars, and at others
placed in the centre of a blue shield, for which shield
some other approved device may be substituted.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such
Trade Mark shall apply.
Jams, pickles, sauces, preserves, and other oilmen's
stores.

Justice has, this sixteenth day of September,
1878, appointed

of Sydney, New South Wales, a Solicitor of the
Supreme Court of the said colony, a Commissioner
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand under "The
Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875," for
the purpose of administering and taking any oath,
affidavit, or affirmation within the said colony.
