HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
issue Letters of Naturalization, under "The
Aliens Act, 1866," in favour of the under-mentioned
persons, viz.:-

Place of Deposit for Standard Weights and Measures.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in
exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
"The Weights and Measures Act, 1868," to direct
that the authorized copies of the Standard Weights
and Measures for the Division of Hawkesbury, in the
Provincial District of Otago, shall for the future be
deposited at the Office of the Inspector of Weights
and Measures for the said division, which is situated
at the Police Station in the Town of Oamaru.

In the Waiuku Forest Rifle Corps.
Sub-Lieutenant William Rowan Crawford to be
Lieutenant. Date of commission, 21st September,
1878.

In the Napier Artillery Corps.
Lieutenant Frank William Garner to be Captain.
Date of commission, 28th September, 1878.

IT is hereby notified that the principal moneys
secured by the debentures issued under the
Ordinance above cited, and falling due on the 1st
November next, will be paid on presentation of the
bonds on or after that date at the Bank of New
Zealand, London, or at the Bank of New Zealand,
Dunedin, whichsoever was the place at which the
last payment of interest on the respective bonds was
paid, viz. :-

At the Bank of New Zealand, London, Bonds
Nos. 418-427, 433-452, 471-490.
At the Bank of New Zealand, Dunedin, Bonds
Nos. 301-302, 364-417, 428-432, 453-470,
491-494, 496-500.
