PATENT FOR AN INVENTION FOR DECORATING
SHOPS AND SHOP WINDOWS, TO BE CALLED
"GAITT'S TELESCOPIC MOVABLE TUBULAR SHOP
AND WINDOW DECORATOR."
THIS is to notify that FREDERICK GAITT, of
Waimate, in the County of Waimate, in the
Colony of New Zealand, Merchant, did, on the
thirteenth day of June ultimo, deposit at the
office of the Patent Officer, in the Colonial Secre-
tary's Office, in Wellington, a specification or
instrument in writing, under his hand and seal, par-
ticularly describing and ascertaining the nature of
the said Invention, and in what manner the same is to
be performed; and that by reason of such deposit the
said Invention is protected and secured to him exclu-
sively for the term of six calendar months thence
next ensuing.
And I do further notify that the said Frederick
Gaitt has given notice in writing at my office of his
intention to proceed with his application for Letters
Patent for the said Invention, and that I have
appointed Friday, the eighth day of November next,
at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office, to hear
and consider the said application and all objections
thereto; and I do hereby require all persons having
an interest in opposing the grant of such Letters
Patent to leave, on or before the fourth day of
November next, at my office, in Wellington, particu-
lars in writing of their objections to the said appli-
cation, otherwise they will be precluded from urging
the same.

I, ROBERT HENRY THOMAS GILBERT,
, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of
England, registered on Imperial Register of Great
Britain, January, 1861, resident at Mary Street,
Thames, hereby notify that I intend to apply, on the
10th day of August, 1878, to be registered under the
above Act; that I intend to practise my profession
on the Thames Gold Fields, New Zealand; and that
I have deposited evidence of my qualification for
public inspection with the Registrar of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages, Auckland.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF COPARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership for
some time past subsisting between us, the un-
dersigned, JOHN HENRY SMITH, WILLIAM ORGAN, and
ALEXANDER MCGREGOR, under the style or firm of
"Organ and McGregor," was, on the first day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, dis-
solved by mutual consent.
Mr. William Organ is empowered to discharge and
settle all debts due to and by the said copartnership
concern.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
hitherto existing between PHILLIP MOELLER and
MAURICE KAUFFMAN SAMUEL, as Merchants, trading
under the style of "Phillip Moeller and Co." has
this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
The business will be carried on under the style of
"Phillip Moeller and Co.," by Phillip Moeller, who
will receive and pay all debts due to and by the late
firm.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
Tuapeka, 1st July, 1878.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in the Hat Gully,
two miles north of the Beaumont River on the east
side of the Molyneux River, and terminating at the
bank of the Molyneux River.
The length of such race is one quarter of a mile or
thereabouts, and its intended course is north and
south.
The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the
mean breadth is 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert
one Government head of water.
