PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers
within the meaning of the said Act are published for
general information:--

Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly
called the Church of England.

NOTICE.—His Honor the Chief Justice has, this

Bankruptcy, under "The Debtors and Creditors Act,
1876," within the Judicial District of Nelson.

Sheep Inspector's Notice.

Wellington, 23rd July, 1878.

NOTICE has been received from the Inspector of
Sheep for the East Coast District that he has
granted a clean certificate for a flock of wethers,
No. 505, belonging to Mr. Edwin Meredith, Riversdale;
dated 11th July, 1878.

Crown Grants.

THE under-mentioned Deeds of Grant, having been
duly executed, are now ready for delivery at this
office, under the authority of "The Crown Grants
Act, 1866."

A fee of sixpence is chargeable on each Crown
Grant for every month during which it shall remain
in this office after the expiration of three months
from the date of this notice.

In cases where it is impossible for the party en-
titled to receive the Grant to attend in person, it
will be delivered to the bearer of an authority accord-
ing to the subjoined form, certified by a Magistrate
or by a Solicitor of the Supreme Court.

Sale of Crown Lands, Westland.

Hokitika, 6th July, 1878.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
allotments of Crown Lands will be offered for
sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Hokitika,
on Wednesday, the 7th day of August next, at 2
o'clock p.m.

One-fourth of the purchase-money to be paid at
the sale, and the remainder within one calendar
month, or the deposit will be forfeited.

TOWN OF HOKITIKA.
Sections 3473, 3482, and 3483. Upset price, £12
each section.

SUBURBAN LAND.
Section 2051, 3 acres, situate near Greenstone,
between Three-mile Creek and Pounamu. Upset
price, £9; to which will be added the sum of £230 for
improvements made on the said land.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Arrowtown, on or
before the 5th day of August, 1878.
