County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; at
Wellington, this eighth day of July,
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight.

Notification of Resignation of Seat in the House of
Representatives for Electoral District of Roslyn.
IN compliance with the provisions of the thirteenth
section of "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," I hereby notify that Arthur John Burns,
Esquire, has resigned his seat in the House of Repre-
sentatives for the Electoral District of Roslyn, and
that his letter of resignation was received by me on
the 5th day of July, 1878; and that the said seat is
vacant by reason of such resignation.
