Amending previous Proclamation, and declaring Lands open for Sale within Mining Districts, Westland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fifty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that
the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining
district, not held under license or lease at the date of such Proclamation, or over which the license or lease
has been cancelled, to be open for sale or selection, in sections of such size and form, and on such date, as
he may determine; and any lands so proclaimed may thereafter be sold at a like price and subject to the
like terms and conditions, or as near thereto as may be, as Crown lands of the same class not within a
mining district: And the Governor may from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas a Proclamation was issued under my hand and the public Seal of the Colony, on the thirteenth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, in pursuance of the above-named Act,
declaring that certain lands described in the Schedule thereto should be open for sale: And whereas it is
expedient to amend the said Proclamation in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby amend the said Proclamation, and do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands
specified in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale, the rural lands in sections of not less than twenty
acres nor more than three hundred and twenty acres, and the suburban lands in sections of not more
than ten acres: Provided always that all rights which may have accrued under the said Proclamation
hereby amended and existing at the time this Proclamation is issued shall be duly protected, and remain in
full force and effect: And I do further declare that the day of the date hereof shall be the day on which
the said lands shall be so open for sale.
