links, and on all other sides by the sea, the peninsula
or island at the North Cape being included; as de-
lineated on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Auckland. This block has passed the
Native Land Court.

TE TAPUWAE.

All that block or parcel of land in the District of
Hokianga, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 8,374 acres or there-
abouts, known by the name of Te Tapuwae. Com-
mencing at Waipuka, thence by the boundary of
Manganuiowae Block to Kohatu-hapai, thence by
the boundary of the Tautehere Block to Herepahore,
thence by survey lines to the Hokianga River at
Puketainguru, thence by the Hokianga River to
Pukeharakeke, thence by Te Tapuwae River to Te
Papa, thence by survey lines to Okapua, thence by
the Tapuwae River to the boundary of the Manga-
kino Block, thence by the Mangakino Block to
Mangataraire, thence by survey lines to Te Taraire
Block, thence by the last-named block to the point
of commencement; as delineated on a plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland. This
block has not passed the Native Land Court.

OTAUIRA OR MOTUKARAKA.

All that block or parcel of land in the District of
Hokianga, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by estimation 3,000 acres or there-
abouts, known by the name of Otauira or Motu-
karaka. Commencing at Rakautapu, thence by the
boundary of Te Tapuwae Block to Mangataraire,
thence by the boundary of the Mangakino Block to
Te Tapuwae River, thence by that river to Te Wha-
rau, thence by a ridge leading from Te Wharau to
Rakautapu, the point of commencement. This block
has not passed the Native Land Court.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this sixth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-
fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is
enacted that the Governor may from time to time,
either by general or particular description, and
whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve
from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same
may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown
lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, being Sections Nos. fifty-seven (57) and fifty-
eight (58), Block sixteen (XVI.), Township of West
Gore, containing by admeasurement four (4) acres
three (3) roods and six (6) perches, and three (3)
acres three (3) roods and thirty-eight (38) perches

respectively, more or less; as the same is delineated
on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Inver-
cargill. For the purpose of a cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this tenth day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
