Reserves set apart for the Otago Boys' and Girls'
High Schools.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Otago Boys' and Girls'
High Schools Act, 1877," it is, among other
things, enacted that it shall be lawful for the Com-
missioners appointed under "The Education Reserves
Act, 1877," or for two Commissioners appointed for
that purpose by the Governor, to select, out of the
reserves for education in the Educational District of
Otago, such reserves as will give an annual income
at present of one thousand two hundred and fifty
pounds; and on the Proclamation of the Governor
that such reserves have been selected and set apart
for the Otago Boys' and Girls' High Schools, the
said reserves shall absolutely vest in the Otago Boys'
and Girls' High Schools Board incorporated by the
Act now in part recited: And whereas James Pillans
Maitland, Esq., and James Green, Esq., were the
two Commissioners appointed by the Governor for
the purposes aforesaid, and they have selected the
reserves described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said
recited Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
reserves particulars whereof are described in the
Schedule hereto have, in pursuance of the provisions
of the said recited Act, been selected and set apart
for the Otago Boys' and Girls' High Schools in the
said Act particularly referred to.

Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Council;
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight.
