Census of New Zealand. --March, 1878.

THE following Return, showing the Population of the Electoral Districts and of the Colony of New
Zealand, according to the Census of the 3rd of March last, is published for general information. The
numbers given are taken from returns supplied by the different Enumerators, and are subject to revision
but they may be accepted as a close approximation to the exact numbers now being made up in this office.
