Appointment of Resident Magistrate's Court for
Riding in Waitaki County, pursuant to the 47th
Section of "The Counties Act, 1876."

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the forty-seventh section of "The
Counties Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constan-
tine, Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the Resident
Magistrate's Court named in the first column of the
Schedule hereto to be the Resident Magistrate's
Court for the riding in the County of Waitaki
named in and set opposite to such Court in the
second column of the said Schedule, to which any
person who considers himself aggrieved by his own
name or that of any other person being entered on or
omitted from the roll of such riding, or by the num-
ber of votes allotted to him or to any other person
thereon being more or fewer than that to which he
or such other person is entitled under the said Act,
may apply for relief.

Fixing Sittings of the District Court of Western
Otago District.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power in that
behalf enabling me, I, George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint
that sittings of the District Court of the Western
Otago District shall be held as follows:-

At Invercargill, at the Council Hall, for the
despatch of Civil business, on the twentieth
day of every month.

At Invercargill, at the Council Hall, for the
despatch of Criminal business, on the twentieth
March and twentieth September in each year.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as
aforesaid shall happen to be a Sunday or holiday,
then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden
on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twentieth day of May, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
