Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden at Kanieri, on or before the
1st day of June, 1878.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Kanieri.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: John Roberts and Party. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Band
of Hope Quartz Gold-Mining Company." Four
hundred yards by two hundred yards, in the West-
land Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
thirteenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.
