17.—Penalty for illegally depasturing.
Any person depasturing cattle in or upon a district
without a license authorizing the holder thereof in
that behalf, and any person depasturing thereon a
greater number of cattle than he is entitled to depas-
ture by virtue of such license, or more than by these
regulations he is entitled to depasture by virtue of
a miner's right, business license, or of a mining,
mineral, or agricultural lease, shall, upon conviction,
be liable to a penalty not exceeding 10s. per head
for each offence for every head of cattle so depas-
tured.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
DUNSTAN DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
ALL that area situate in Vincent County, bounded towards the
North by the Leaning Rock Creek; towards the East by Run 221;
towards the South-east by the River Manuherikia; and towards
the South-west and West by the River Clutha: excepting there-
out the Towns of Clutha and Alexandra.

CROMWELL DEPASTURING DISTRICT.
All that area situate in Vincent County, bounded towards the
North by parts of Runs 245 and 340; towards the East by the
River Clutha; towards the South by the River Kawarau; and
towards the West by part of the said Run 340: excepting there-
out the Town of Cromwell.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
To the Chairman, Vincent County Council.
PURSUANT to the provisions of "The Mines Act, 1877," and
regulations made thereunder, I hereby apply for a license to
depasture
