THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Objections to granting such leases, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden at Kanieri, on or before the
11th day of May, 1878.
Copies of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Kanieri.


SCHEDULE.

THOMAS BATH and PARTY. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Pioneer Quartz-
Mining Company." Four hundred by two hundred
yards, in the Westland Mining District.

JAMES CRAIG and PARTY. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Kanieri Quartz-
Mining Company." Four hundred by two hundred
yards, in the Westland Mining District.

CHARLES HILL and PARTY. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Hokitika
Quartz-Mining Company." Four hundred by two
hundred yards, in the Westland Mining District.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease for gold-mining purposes of
Crown lands to the applicant specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against
such lease.

Objections to granting such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden at Collingwood, on or before
the 3rd day of May, 1878.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Collingwood.


SCHEDULE.

EDWARD H. CANAVAN and PARTY. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "Shamrock
Gold-Mining Company." Sixteen acres, in the Golden
Bay Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
second day of April, one thousand eight

intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.

Objections to granting such leases, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden at Greymouth, on or before
the 18th day of April, 1878.
Copies of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Greymouth.

MARTIN KENNEDY and PARTY. Style under which
