Description and\nPurpose of\nReserve. Area of which the Purpose is\nintended to be Changed. Intended Purpose.
Sec. No. 1783\n(in red), in the\nAshburton Dis-\ntrict, in the Pro-\nvincial District\nof Canterbury,\n106 acres, more\nor less, for Pro-\nvincial Govern-\nment purposes.\nNotice whereof\nis published in\nthe Provincial\nGazette, 1875,\nNo. 36, page 284. All that piece or parcel of\nland in the Ashburton Dis-\ntrict, in the Provincial Dis-\ntrict of Canterbury, contain-\ning by admeasurment twenty-\ntwo (22) acres two (2) roods,\nmore or less, being part of\nSection No. 1783 (in red).\nBounded towards the North-\nwest by the South Road and\nRailway Reserve for a dis-\ntance of 15 chains; towards\nthe North-east by a road line\nfor a distance of 15 chains;\ntowards the South-east by\nSection No. 22739 for a dis-\ntance of 15 chains; and to-\nwards the South-west by a\nline parallel to and 15 chains\nsouth-west of the north-\neastern boundary for a dis-\ntance of 15 chains as the\nsame is delineated on the\nplans deposited in the Pro-\nvincial District Survey Office,\nChristchurch. As a recrea-\ntion ground.
Sec. No. 1646\n(in red), in the\nTown of Wai-\mate, in the Pro-\nvincial District\nof Canterbury,\n5 acres, more or\nless, for Provin-\ncial Government\npurposes. No-\ntice whereof is\npublished in the\nProvincial\nGazette, 1874,\nNo. 32, page 180. All that piece or parcel of\nland in the Town of Wai-\mate, in the Provincial District of\nCanterbury, containing by\nadmeasurement two (2)\nroods, more or less, being\npart of Section No. 1646 (in\nred). Bounded towards the\nNorth-west by Queen Street\nfor a distance of about 2\nchains; towards the South-\nwest by Crown lands for a\ndistance of 2 chains 50 links;\ntowards the North-east by\nSection No. 1582 (in red)\nfor a distance of 2 chains\n50 links; and towards the\nSouth-east by a line in con-\ntinuation of the south-eastern\nboundary of said Section No.\n1582 (in red) for a distance\nof about 2 chains: as the\nsame is delineated on the\nplans deposited in the Pro-\nvincial District Survey\nOffice, Christchurch. As a site for\nCounty Council\nbuildings.
Sec. All that piece or parcel of\nland in the District of Ash-\nburton, in the Provincial\nDistrict of Canterbury, con-\ntaining twenty (20) acres,\nmore or less, being part of\nSection No. 1775 (in red).\nBounded towards the North-\nwest by Section No. 1450\n(in red) for a distance of\nabout 14 chains; towards\nthe South-west by a road\nline for a distance of about\n15 chains; towards the\nSouth-east by Section No.\n23387 for a distance of\nabout 14 chains; and to-\nwards the North-east by a\nstraight line for a distance\nof about 15 chains as the\nsame is delineated on the\nplans deposited in the Pro-\nvincial District Survey\nOffice, Christchurch. As a cemetery.

Governor has approved, under the provisions of
the 148th section of "The Land Act, 1877," of the
intended change of purpose of the reserve specified
in the Schedule hereto.

All that piece or parcel of\nland in the Provincial Dis-\ntrict of Canterbury, contain-\ning twenty (20) acres, more\nor less, being Section No.\n2275 (in red). Bounded\ntowards the North-east by\nSection No. 2064 (in red),\n19 chains 50 links; towards\nthe North-west by Section\nNo. 350 (in red), 21 chains;\ntowards the South-west by\nSection No. 350 (in red), 14\nchains 15 links; and towards\nthe South-east by a road line\nfor a distance of about 7\nchains as the same is de-\nlineated on the plans de-\nposited in the Provincial Dis-\ntrict Survey Office, Christ-\nchurch. For the Ash-\nburton Agricul-\ntural and Pas-\ntoral Associa-\ntion.

Alterations and Additions to the Rates for the Con-
veyance, Delivery, and Storage of Goods, Parcels,
&c., on New Zealand Railways.

IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways, fixed by Order in Council, dated
the 17th day of April, 1877, the following alterations
and additions to the rates for the conveyance,
delivery, and storage of goods, parcels, &c., on
New Zealand Railways, are hereby declared to be
fixed, and shall come into force from the 11th day
of March, 1878:-

SHIPS' GOODS.

From Lyttelton Station to Timaru Station. Weight
or measurement according to ship's bill of lading:-
Coals, at per ton, eleven (11) shillings.
All other goods, at per ton, twenty (20) shillings.

Wharf Rates, Westport Section, in substitution of
former Rates.

IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways, fixed by Order in Council, dated
the 17th day of April, 1877, the following alterations

of goods, parcels, &c., on New Zealand Railways, in
substitution of former rates, are hereby declared to
be fixed, and shall come into force from the 1st day
of March, 1878:-
