N OTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within one month after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice.

  1. EARNEST GRAY.-23 acres 2 roods 30
    perches, part of Rural Section 2573, Christchurch
    District. Occupied by James Ennis.
  2. MARIA HOBBS-24 perches, part of
    Lot 77, Christchurch Town Reserves. Occupied by
    James Row.
  3. WILLIAM ANDREWS.-25 perches,
    part of Lot 123, Christchurch Town Reserves. Oc-
    cupied by Applicant.
  4. THOMAS HOLLAND.-1 rood, part of
    Rural Section 7555, Timaru District. Occupied by
    Applicant.
  5. JANE BALLANTYNE.-1 acre, part of
    Rural Section 4311, Waitangi District. Unoccupied.

WAIKOHU ROAD BOARD OFFICE.

「N conformity with clauses 21 and 22, "Public
Works Act, 1876," notice is hereby given that
the under-mentioned lines of Roads have been duly
surveyed and laid off:-
From Pouarua Bridge to Tangihangi.
From Mr. Norris's Homestead to Opotiki Road.
Plans may be seen on and after this date at Mr.
Skillicorn's Woolshed, Pukepapa.
All objections to the above roads must be sent in
writing to the Office of the Board, Ormond, within
forty days from this date.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

N OTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
heretofore subsisting between the undersigned,
CHARLES LENDRICK MACLEAN and WILLIAM SYDNEY
STAITE, as Barristers and Solicitors, at Bull's and
Palmerston North, under the style of "Maclean and
Staite," has this day been dissolved by mutual con-
sent. All accounts due to the Bull's branch of the
late partnership business must be paid to the said
Charles Lendrick Maclean, whose receipt therefor
will be a sufficient discharge, and who will also pay
all just claims against the same. All accounts
due to the Palmerston branch of the said business
must be paid to the said William Sydney Staite,
whose receipt therefor will be a sufficient discharge,
and who will also pay all just claims against the
same.
The said Charles Lendrick Maclean and William
Sydney Staite will henceforth carry on business as
usual at the places aforesaid, for their own separate
benefit.
Dated this 13th day of December, 1878.

Second and subsequent insertions same charge as for first.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of five per cent.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom Post Office Money Orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued,
and, under any circumstances, are subject to a reduction at the
rate of one shilling in the pound.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL IN FUTURE BE INSERTED WITHOUT
PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
