Sheep Inspector's Notice.

Wellington, 4th February, 1878.
NOTICE has been received from the Inspector of
Sheep for the Wanganui District that he has
cancelled the clean certificate held by Mr. E. G.
Allsworth, No. 2 Line, for the whole of his flock of
1,100 sheep, from the 16th ultimo.

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.
NOTICE is hereby given that, Messrs. TRAVERS,
OLLIVIER, AND Co., Solicitors, Wellington, have
applied on behalf of Mr. JOEL BURKE WOLFE, of
New York, in the United States of America, to
register under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the
Trade Mark of which the following is a description,
viz.,-
Description of Trade Mark.
A label, printed in blue upon white paper, having
double straight lines at the edges, terminating at
each corner in a scroll or device, with the following
words and figures within the border: "Wolfe's
Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps, a Superlative Tonic,
Diuretic, Anti-dyspeptic, and Invigorating Cordial.
This medicinal beverage is manufactured by the pro-
prietor at Schiedam, in Holland, and is warranted
not only pure from every injurious property and
ingredient, but of the best possible quality. Its
extraordinary medicinal efficacy in gravel, gout,
chronic rheumatism, incipient dropsy, flatulence,
colic, pains of the stomach and bowels whether in
adults or infants, in all ordinary cases of obstruction
in the kidneys, bladder, and urinary organs, in
dyspepsia whether acute or chronic, in general
debility, sluggish circulation of the blood, inadequate
assimilation of food, and exhausted vital energy, are
acknowledged by the whole medical faculty and
attested in their highest written authorities. The
attention of agents and purchasers is invited to the
signature and address of the proprietor on this label,
and to the title of this medicinal cordial embossed
on the sides of the bottles, as protections against in-
ferior and pernicious imitations.-UDOLPHO WOLFE.

The said label to be attached to the side of bot-
tles containing a medicinal spirit or cordial called
"Wolfe's Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps;" and a
label affixed to a yellow outer wrapper for the said
bottles, of which label the following is a description:
A white oblong label, printed in red ink, surrounded
by a border of straight double lines, with a small
device at each corner; and within the border are the
following words and figures: "Wolfe's Aromatic
Schiedam Schnapps, a Superlative Tonic, Diuretic,
Anti-dyspeptic, and Invigorating Cordial. This me-
