ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-ninth day of October, 1878.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Napier Harbour Board, to which
Board the powers conferred by the thirtieth
section of "The Marine Act, 1867," have been dele-
gated, as is authorized by "The Harbour Boards Act,
1870," did, on the eighth day of October instant,
make the regulation and by-law set forth in the
Schedule hereto, and it is expedient to approve of
the same:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, hereby, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
accordance with the provisions of "The Harbour
Boards Act, 1870," approve of the said regulation
and by-law.
SCHEDULE.
THE Napier Harbour Board, by virtue of all powers
in anywise enabling them in that behalf, do hereby
make the following regulation for the Port of
Napier, and do hereby repeal Regulation No. 2 of
the regulations made by the late Superintendent of
Hawke's Bay, dated the eighth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.
- For all goods landed on any wharf or wharves,
either for import or export, there shall be paid two
shillings per ton of forty cubic feet or portion of a
ton, or per ton weight or portion of a ton, with the
exceptions hereinafter mentioned, for which the fol-
lowing rates shall be paid:β

Alteration of Boundaries of Maraetai and Wairoa
Highway Districts.
NORMANBY, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
me by the seventh section of the Act of the
Provincial Council of Auckland intituled "The
Highways Act, 1874," and "The Abolition of Pro-
vinces Act, 1875," I do hereby notify that, from and
after the date hereof, the boundaries of the Maraetai
Highway District shall be those set forth in the First
Schedule hereto, and the boundaries of the Wairoa
Highway District shall be those set forth in the
Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
MARAETAI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, bounded towards the North by the
Hauraki Gulf to the mouth of the Wairoa River;
towards the South by Lot No. 58, Parish of Wairoa,
the southern boundaries of Papepape and Kiripaki
Blocks, the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot
No. 46, Parish of Maraetai, and the southern
boundary of Lot No. 34 of said parish, to Waikopo
Creek; and on the West by the said creek and the
Maungamaungaroa to the Hauraki Gulf: as the
same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
WAIROA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, bounded towards the North by the
Maraetai Highway District, hereinbefore described,
to the mouth of the Wairoa River, thence across that
river and by the Hauraki Gulf; towards the East by
Waitawa, Pekarakara, and Kiripaki Blocks to the
confiscation boundary line, thence by said line to the
road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Lot
No. 25, thence by the south-eastern boundary of that
Lot and Lot No. 24 of the Parish of Otau to the
Waimoko River, thence by that river to the road
which forms the south-eastern boundary of Lot No.
30 of said parish, thence by the said road to the
Wairoa River aforesaid, thence by said river to a
point opposite to the northern boundary of Lot No.
112, Parish of Hunua, and across the river in a
straight line to the said northern boundary; thence
following the said boundary, and the north-western
boundaries of Lots Nos. 174, 173, 133, and 136 of
the Parish of Hunua aforesaid; thence by the south-
western boundaries of Lots Nos. 135, 78, and 22 of
said parish to Hewlin's line; thence by Hewlin's line
to the north-eastern angle of Lot No. 31 of said
parish, thence following the north-eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of said Lot No. 31, and the south-
eastern boundaries of Lots Nos. 29, 28, and 27 of
said parish, and part of the eastern and southern
boundaries of Lot No. 3, Parish of Opaheke, to the
Wairoa and Papakura Road; thence by the middle
of that road to the Great South Road; towards the
West by the middle of the Great South Road, from
the Wairoa and Papakura Road to a point on it
being the production of the road between Lots Nos.
26 and 33, Parish of Papakura; and towards the
North-west by a straight line from the point last
described to the road between Lots Nos. 26 and 33
aforesaid, and thence by the middle of that road as
far eastward as Lot No. 29, Parish of Papakura;
thence by the south-eastern boundary of Lot No. 29,
the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot No.
39, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot No. 58,
all of the Parish of Papakura; thence by the dividing
line of the Parishes of Papakura and Wairoa afore-
said, and by the north-western boundary of the last-
named parish to the Maraetai Highway District: as
the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-third day of Octo-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.
