Changing Purpose of Reserve in the Provincial
District of Canterbury.

General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 10th October, 1878.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Go-
vernor intends, under the provisions of the one
hundred and forty-eighth section of "The Land Act,
1877," to change the specific purpose of the land
described in the second column of the Schedule hereto
for which the land was heretofore set apart as a
reserve, as specified in the first column of the said
Schedule, to the specific purposes specified in the third
column of the said Schedule.

Description and Purpose of Reserve. Area of which the Purpose is intended to be Changed. Intended Purpose.
Portion of 350 (in red.) For road, railway, and telegraph purposes. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 230 acres, more or less. Bounded to- wards the North-east by Section numbered 3936; towards the South-east by Sections numbered 6022 and 6023, and also by Reserves numbered 2064 and 2275, and by a road; towards the South-west by Reserve numbered 350 (in red); and towards the North- west by the north-west boundary of Reserve No. 350 (in red). For Recreation.
