Provisional Reserves for Educational Purposes in
the Provincial District of Westland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Waste
Lands Administration Act, 1876," it is enacted
that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to
time to make out of any waste lands of the Crown
provisional reserves for educational purposes of a
public character in manner as in the said section is
set forth:

And whereas the Waste Lands Board of Westland
has passed a resolution recommending that the
parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto
annexed should be set apart and reserved for educa-
tional endowment purposes:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation, and to reserve the said
parcels of land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the authority
vested in me by the above-named Act, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto
annexed are provisionally reserved and set apart for
educational endowment purposes, subject to the
terms and conditions of the aforesaid twelfth section
of the above-named Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement forty (40)
acres two (2) roods and twenty-five (25) perches,
more or less, being Section numbered one hundred
and sixty-four (164) (in red), situate in the Jackson's
Bay District. Bounded on the Northward by the
Road Reserve along the south side of the Okura River;
on the Eastward by Section 232, twenty-four (24)
chains; on the Westward by Section 231; and on the
Southward by a straight line thirty-six (36) chains
fifty (50) links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement fifty-two
(52) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section
numbered one hundred and sixty-five (165) (in red),
situate in the Jackson's Bay District. Bounded on
the North-westward by Section 184; on the South-
westward by the Road Reserve along the northern
bank of the Turnbull River; on the South-eastward
by Section 186; and on the North-eastward by a
straight line.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement fifty-three
(53) acres three (3) roods and twenty (20) perches,
more or less, being Section numbered one hundred
and sixty-six (166) (in red), situate in the Jackson's
Bay District. Bounded on the North-eastward by
the Road Reserve along the southern bank of the
Turnbull River; on the North-westward by the south-
eastern boundary of Section 151, and a line in con-
tinuation thereof, seventy-four (74) chains twenty
(20) links; on the South-westward by a straight line
at right angles with last-mentioned boundary, seven
(7) chains fifty (50) links; and on the South-eastward
by a Timber Reserve, sixty-four (64) chains fifty (50)
links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement fifty-two
(52) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section
numbered one hundred and sixty-seven (167) (in
red), situate in the Jackson's Bay District. Bounded
on the South-westward by the Road Reserve along the
southern bank of the Okura River; on the South-
eastward by the north-western side of Section 277,
and a line in continuation thereof, sixty-two (62)
chains thirty (30) links; on the North-eastward by
a line at right angles with last-mentioned boundary,
ten (10) chains sixty-four (64) links; and on the
North-westward by Section 265, forty-six (46) chains
fifty (50) links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Westland, containing by admeasurement fifty-eight
(58) acres, more or less, being Section numbered one
hundred and sixty-eight (168) (in red), situate in
the Jackson's Bay District. Bounded on the West-
ward by Section 67, twenty-one (21) chains; on the
Northward by a road, twenty-six (26) chains thirty
(30) links; on the North-eastward by a road; on
the South-eastward by a road; and on the Southward
by foot of terrace.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Westland, containing by admeasurement ten (10)
acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section num-
bered one hundred and sixty-nine (169) (in red),
situate in the Jackson's Bay District. Bounded on
the North-eastward by the Arawata Road, eight (8)
chains forty (40) links; on the South-eastward by
Section 32, twelve (12) chains fifty (50) links; on
the South-westward by a straight line, eight (8) chains
forty (40) links; and on the North-westward by Sec-
tion 30, twelve (12) chains fifty (50) links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Westland, containing by admeasurement fifty-two
(52) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section
numbered one hundred and seventy (170) (in red),
situate in the Jackson's Bay District. Bounded on
the South-westward by road along the northern side
of the Smoothwater River; on the North-westward
by Section 117, thirty-four (34) chains forty (40)
links; on the North-eastward by a straight line
fifteen (15) chains seventy-one (71) links; and on
the South-eastward by Section 119, thirty-three (33)
chains twenty (20) links.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Westland, containing by admeasurement one (1)
acre, more or less, being Section numbered one
hundred and seventy-one (171) (in red), situate in
the Town of Waiatoto. Bounded on the South-
westward by McLean Road, two (2) chains; on the
South-eastward by Creek Street, five (5) chains; on
the North-eastward by a line parallel with McLean
Road, two (2) chains; and on the North-westward
by a line parallel with Creek Street, five (5) chains.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of November, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-seven.
