THE following Returns, received from the Cattle Inspectors for the Provincial Districts of Auckland
and Hawke's Bay, are published for general information.

Devonport, North Shore, Auckland, 1st October, 1877.
SIR,-With the returns of cattle inspected by me for the six months from 1st April to 30th September,
1877, I have the honor to report that I believe this district and province to be free from any contagious
disease.

I have the honor to certify that I have examined the Inspector's returns and report for the six
months ending the 30th ultimo, and believe them correct.

PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.
RETURN of CATTLE inspected within the DISTRICT of AUCKLAND, not brought by Sea, within the
Six Months ended the 30th SEPTEMBER, 1877, which have been found to be affected with any
Contagious or Infectious Disease.

Nil.

RETURN of CATTLE arrived from FOREIGN PORTS into the PORT of AUCKLAND, and landed at
AUCKLAND, from 1st APRIL, 1877, to 30th SEPTEMBER, 1877.

dition.

  • At a meeting of the Local Cattle Board, held this 6th July, it was resolved that the Inspector be directed to inspect the
    above, and, if satisfied with their condition, to give certificate for landing, as they were shipped before prohibition came into
    operation.

RETURN of CATTLE imported by Sea to the Port of AUCKLAND, within the Six Months ended 30th
SEPTEMBER, 1877, which have been found to be affected with any Contagious or Infectious Disease.
