I DO hereby, in virtue of the powers vested in me
by Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, dated the thirteenth day of January, 1877,
appoint the following gentlemen to be Trustees for
the Management of the Public Cemetery at Wel-
lington:-
Mr. JONAS WOODWARD.
Mr. DAVID LEWIS.
Mr. JOSEPH GODFREY HOLDSWORTH.
Mr. DANIEL MCINTYRE.
Mr. THOMAS MCKENZIE.

Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board.

CONSTRUCTION ORDER NO. 14.

THE Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board having
examined the deposited plan, section, and speci-
fication for the proposed "Kaiwhata Road," and con-
sidered the objections and suggestions made respecting
such road, hereby order it to be constructed according
to the line shown by such plan, section, and specifica-
tion.

I hereby confirm this Construction Order, this 15th
day of January, 1877.

the objections and suggestions made respecting such
road, hereby order it to be constructed according to

Wanganui, 4th January, 1877.

PATENT for an Invention for the use and applica-
tion of Wire Suspension Tramways for loading
and discharging Vessels in Roadsteads, and for works
connected with Mining and Dredging and Reclaim-
ing Land, and generally for conveying material of
any description from the scene of operations to the
place of destination required, with Self-acting Buckets
and appliances as may be required according to cir-
cumstances and the particular work to be done.

This is to notify, that JOHN ALVES, Contractor,
and HENRY HOWARTH, Gentleman, both of Dunedin,
in the Colony of New Zealand, did, on the fifteenth
day of January instant, deposit at the office of the
Patent Officer, in the Colonial Secretary's Office, in
Wellington, a specification or instrument in writing
under their hands and seals, particularly describing
and ascertaining the nature of the said Invention,
and in what manner the same is to be performed;
and that by reason of such deposit the said Invention
is protected and secured to them exclusively for the
term of six calendar months thence next ensuing.

And I do further notify that the said John Alves
and Henry Howarth have given notice in writing at
my office of their intention to proceed with their
application for Letters Patent for the said Invention,
and that I have appointed Friday, the eleventh day
of May next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my
office, to hear and consider the said application and
all objections thereto; and I do hereby require all
persons having an interest in opposing the grant of
such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the seventh
day of May next, at my office in Wellington, par-
ticulars in writing of their objections to the said
application, otherwise they will be precluded from
urging the same.

Given under my hand this fifteenth day of January,
1877.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned
Thomas Douglas and Henry William Lee, carrying
on the business of Brewers in the City of Christ-
church under the firm of "Ward and Co.," has this
day been dissolved by mutual consent.
Dated this first day of January, 1877.

The business heretofore carried on by me in co-
