Declaring "The Regulation of Local Elections Act,
1876," in force within the Spring Creek River
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

B
Y virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constantine, Mar-
quis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the said Act shall come into force in respect of all
elective offices of the Board of Conservators elected
under "The Hawke's Bay and Marlborough Rivers
Act, 1868," for the district known as the Spring
Creek District, situate in the Provincial District of
Marlborough.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-first day of July, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-seven.

Proclaiming certain Lands in Hawke's Bay to be
Waste Lands of the Crown.

A PROCLAMATION.

W
HEREAS by "The Waste Lands Administra-
tion Act, 1876," it is, among other things,
enacted that the Governor may from time to time,

by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, pro-
claim the confiscated lands within any land district
to be waste lands of the Crown:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim that the confiscated lands in the
Land District of Hawke's Bay, which are particularly
described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the
same are hereby declared to be waste lands of the
Crown.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay known as the Tarawera Reserve, con-
taining by admeasurement two thousand (2,000)
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
west by Crown lands seven thousand eight hundred
and twenty-six (7826) links; towards the North-
east by Crown lands twenty-five thousand five hun-
dred and fifty-six (25556) links; towards the
South-east by Crown lands seven thousand eight
hundred and twenty-six (7826) links; and towards
the South-west by Crown lands twenty-five thousand
five hundred and fifty-six (25556) links, be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less, as the same is
delineated on the plans in the Provincial District
Survey Office at Napier.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Hawke's Bay, being part of the block known as
the Te Haroto Reserve, containing by admeasure-
ment four hundred and ninety-one (491) acres, more
or less. Bounded towards the North-west by part of
the said block and Crown lands six thousand nine
hundred and eighty-eight (6988) links; towards the
North-east by Crown lands seven thousand and
twenty-four (7024) links; towards the South-east
by Crown lands seven thousand and seventeen
(7017) links; and towards the South-west by Crown
lands seven thousand and six (7006) links, be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less, as the same is
delineated on the plans deposited on the office of the
Chief Surveyor at Napier.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
