Altering and Defining Boundaries of the Matakoe Highway District.
NORMANBY, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Act of the Provincial Council of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act, 1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the Omaru Highway District, in the Provincial District of Auckland, is hereby abolished: And I do further notify that the boundaries of the Matakoe Highway District, in the said provincial district, are hereby altered; and that the boundaries of such last-men-tioned district shall henceforth be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE MATAKOHE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
THE Matakoe Highway District is bounded towards the North by the Whakaharahara Block and the Okahu Block; towards the East by the Mangonui River and the Mararetu and Paparoa Blocks to the Arapaua River; towards the South by the Arapaua River, the Uriohau Block, and the Wairoa River; and towards the West by the Wairoa River to the Whakaharahara Block, the starting point.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven.
