I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the above
is a true statement of the receipts and expenditure
of the public revenue of the Province of Wellington
for the period commencing on the first day of July
and ending on the thirtieth day of September, 1876;
and further, that the said expenditure has been pro-
perly classified, and that any part thereof which has
been incurred without authority of the Appropriation
Act is separately shown. ROBERT PHARAZYN.

I hereby certify that I have examined the accounts
of the Provincial Treasurer of the Province of Wel-
lington for the quarter ended 30th September, 1876,
and have compared them with vouchers, and find
the computations correct; that the revenues and
receipts brought on charge were paid in to the Pro-
vincial Account; that all issues of public moneys
have (with the exception of "deposits") been made
on warrants of the Superintendent duly certified by
the Provincial Auditor; that all moneys issued in
payment of services rendered were legally available
according to the terms of the Provincial Audit and
other Acts; and the expenditure shown in the said
accounts has been properly classified; and that any
part thereof which may have been incurred without
authority of law is separately shown (with the ex-
ception on the whole of the matters stated in the
Audit observations accompanying this certificate).

R. MACALISTER,

6th March, 1877.
