LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

N OTICE is hereby given, that ELLEN Mc-
SWINEY, of Wetherstons, in the Provincial
District of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, sister
of BRYAN MCSWINEY, late of Wetherstons aforesaid,
Settler, deceased, has made application to the Dis-
trict Land Registrar of the District of Otago to be
registered as proprietor in fee simple of Section
numbered twenty (20), Block X., on the Map of the
Tuapeka East District, as Devisee under the Will of
the said Bryan McSwiney, deceased; and that she
will be so registered as such proprietor unless caveat
be lodged at this office forbidding the same within
one calendar month from the date of the publication
of this notice.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

W HEREAS a declaration has been lodged with
me, made by Andrew Fulton, the registered
proprietor of part of Sections numbered respectively
thirteen (13), fourteen (14), and one hundred and
fifty-five R (155R), Block I., on the map of the Upper
Kaikorai District, in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement one (1) acre
and eighteen (18) poles, little more or less, of the
loss of the certificate of title thereto, entered in the
Register Book of the said district, Vol. 14, folio
212: I hereby give notice that I intend to issue a
provisional certificate of title to the piece of land
above mentioned to the said Andrew Fulton, unless
caveat be lodged within fourteen days from the date
of the publication hereof.

PATENT FOR AN IMPROVED WIRE STRAINER.

T HIS is to notify that WILLIAM ARCHIBALD MUR-
RAY, of Glenore, in the County of Bruce, New
Zealand, Farmer, did, on the ninth day of April in-
stant, deposit at the office of the Patent Officer, in
the Colonial Secretary's Office, in Wellington, a
specification or instrument in writing under his hand
and seal, particularly describing and ascertaining the
nature of the said Invention, and in what manner the
same is to be performed; and that by reason of such
deposit the said Invention is protected and secured
to him exclusively for the term of six calendar
months thence next ensuing.

And I do further notify that the said William
Archibald Murray has given notice in writing at my
office of his intention to proceed with his application
for Letters Patent for the said Invention, and that I
have appointed Friday, the twenty-ninth day of June
next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office,
to hear and consider the said application and all
objections thereto; and I do hereby require all per-
sons having an interest in opposing the grant of
such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the twenty-
fifth day of June, at my office, in Wellington, parti-
culars in writing of their objections to the said
application, otherwise they will be precluded from
urging the same.

Given under my hand this ninth day of April,
1877.

Colony of New Zealand, did, on the seventeenth day
of January instant, deposit at the office of the Patent
Officer, in the Colonial Secretary's Office, in Wel-
lington, a specification or instrument in writing
under their hands and seals, particularly describing
and ascertaining the nature of the said Invention,
