do hereby appoint, that from and after the day
of the date hereof the wharf or jetty off Point
Britomart, at the Port of Auckland, known as the
Railway Wharf, shall be deemed and taken to be a
legal landing place for the lading and unlading of
goods under the Customs Regulation Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave

Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the Most

Arrangements for First Elections, Borough of Parnell.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint
JOHN BENJAMIN STRANGE
to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Parnell, as con-
stituted by Proclamation of even date herewith; and
EDWARD LISTER GREEN
to be Returning Officer, to hold the first election of
Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors of the said Borough.
Also, to appoint Wednesday, the sixteenth day of
May, for the election of the Mayor; and Friday, the
eighteenth day of May, for the election of Coun-
cillors; and Friday, the first day of June, for the
election of Auditors of the said borough. Also, to
appoint Tuesday, the twenty-second day of May, for
the first meeting of the Council of the said borough,
and Parnell Hall to be the place of such meeting.

pursuance of the 17th section of "The Protec-
tion of Animals Act, 1873," to fix the fee payable for
a license to kill game during the shooting season
of 1877 within the Provincial District of Hawke's
Bay, at fifty shillings.
