"The Marine Act, 1867," to Moeraki Harbour
Board.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventh day of April, 1877.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of all the power and authority in me
vested in that behalf by "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875," "The Harbour Boards Act,
1870," and "The Marine Act, 1867," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby,
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, do hereby delegate unto

THE MOERAKI HARBOUR BOARD,

as the same is constituted by an Act of the General
Assembly of the Colony intituled "The Moeraki
Harbour Board Act, 1875," all the powers, duties,
and authorities vested in me by sections thirty,
thirty-one, and thirty-two of "The Marine Act,
1867." Provided that this delegation shall be limited
to the Port of Moeraki, as the same is defined by
warrant dated the twentieth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette of the third day
of November, in the same year.

Delegation of Governor's Powers under Sections 7 and
10 of "Marine Act, 1867," to the Bluff Harbour
Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventh day of April, 1877.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the ninth section of "The Harbour
Boards Act, 1870," it is, among other things,
enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council,
from time to time delegate to any Harbour Board
constituted thereunder all or any of the powers and
authorities vested in him by the provisions contained
in the seventh and tenth sections of "The Marine
Act, 1867," subject to any regulations, restrictions,
or stipulations that may be specified in such Order:

And whereas by an Act of the General Assembly
of the colony intituled "The Bluff Harbour Board
Act, 1876," a Harbour Board was constituted for the
Port of Bluff, and which Board was specially declared
to be a Harbour Board established under and in pur-
suance of "The Harbour Boards Act, 1870:"

And whereas it is expedient that certain powers
should be delegated to the Bluff Harbour Board, as
in manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, in pur-
suance and exercise of the hereinbefore recited power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
delegate unto the

aforesaid the several powers and authorities men-
tioned and set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed,
such powers and authorities to be exercised within
the limits of the Port of Bluff, as defined in a war-

rant bearing date the twentieth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-
third day of November, in the same year: subject,
however, to such restrictions as in the said Schedule
set forth.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the
hereinbefore in part recited power and authority,
and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, I
do hereby delegate unto the said Bluff Harbour
Board all the powers vested in the Governor in
Council by the tenth section of "The Marine Act,
1867:" Provided that the delegation lastly herein-
before contained shall be limited to the said Port of
Bluff.

SCHEDULE.

SUCH of the powers vested in the Governor by the
seventh section of "The Marine Act, 1867," as
enable him to erect, superintend, and maintain
harbour marks, buoys, lights, and beacons within the
limits of the Port of Bluff, or the approaches thereto.

Subject, however, to such directions as may from
time to time be issued by the Commissioner of
Customs as to the size, position, and colour of such
harbour marks, buoys, and beacons, and in the case
of lights, to the approval first obtained of the said
Commissioner of Customs; and subject also to the
condition that no notices to mariners shall be issued
by the Bluff Harbour Board until after such notices
have been approved of by the Marine Department.

Also such of the powers vested in the Governor by
the said seventh section as enable him to appoint,
suspend, or remove Port or Harbour Masters, and
other officers of the port or harbour: Provided that
this delegation shall be limited to the Port of Bluff
aforesaid.

bour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventh day of April, 1877.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of "The Marine
Act, 1867," (hereinafter called "the said Act,")
it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor
in Council may from time to time delegate all or any
of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
said Act, subject to any restrictions or stipulations
which may be specified in such Order: And whereas
by virtue of an Act passed by the General Assembly
of the colony intituled "The Bluff Harbour Board
Act, 1876," a Harbour Board for the Port of Bluff
has been constituted under the name of "The Bluff
Harbour Board:" And whereas it is expedient that
the powers and authorities conferred upon the
Governor by the twelfth and forty-second sections
of the said Act should be delegated to the said Board
as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
hereinbefore recited power and authority, and by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, do hereby delegate unto the Bluff
Harbour Board aforesaid the powers and authorities
vested in me by the twelfth and forty-second sections
of the said Act: Provided, however, that this dele-
