Declaring "The Regulation of Local Elections Act,
1876," in force within Mount Peel Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
B Y virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis
of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
said Act shall come into force, in respect of all
elective officers of the Mount Peel Road Board,
within the district known as the Mount Peel Road
District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United is
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor aud Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,
this sixteenth day of March, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-seven.

lations published in "New Zealand Gazette," Nos.
8, 27, and 62, of 10th February, 11th May, and
23rd November, 1876, respectively.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twentieth day of March, 1877.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
W HEREAS under the provisions of "The Immi-
gration and Public Works Act, 1870," and
the several Acts amending the same, and other Acts,
certain lines of railway have been constructed by the
Governor: And whereas by "The Immigration and
Public Works Act, 1875," the Governor in Council
is authorized to make regulations and by-laws ap-
plicable to all railways constructed by him under the
authority of the said hereinbefore mentioned Acts,
and actually open for traffic, whether the whole of
such railway shall have been completed or not; and
whenever it shall be necessary to extend the opera-
tion of such regulations and by-laws to any particu-
lar railway, it shall be lawful for the Governor, by a
notification published in the New Zealand Gazette, to
extend the operation of such by-laws to the railway
or railways named therein, and that, from and after
a day to be fixed in such notification, the regulations
and by-laws so made as aforesaid shall for all pur-
poses be, and be deemed to be, the regulations and
by-laws in force for the railway or railways named
therein:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, and in exercise and pur-

Gazette of the 2nd November, 1876, page 735:---Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Block VI., in the Town of Raleigh, West
Bank, for Harbour Improvement, are wrongly described, "Block VI." being a misprint for "Block IV.," and the words "West
Block" have been printed in error for "West Bank." Also Section No. XLVIII., in the Town of Raleigh, East Bank, for Town
Improvement, was erroneously included in the Schedule, the same having been previously granted to the Superintendent.
