UNDER the provisions of "The Public Payments
without Probate Act, 1869," and the regulations
made thereunder, published in the New Zealand
Gazette of 1870, page 212, the Colonial Treasurer
intends to make a payment of money due the above-
named deceased to a person not being his legal repre-
sentative. All persons objecting to such payment
being made must give notice to the Colonial Trea-
surer, at Wellington, within one calendar month
from the date of the Gazette bearing this notice,
when their objections will be considered.

Manawatu District, having been applied for by

the Crown Lands Office, Wellington, at noon on
Friday next, the 16th instant, at the upset price of
20s. per acre.

NOTICE.
WILLIAM HENRY OSBORNE, of Brisbane, in
the Colony of Queensland, Associate to His
Honor Mr. Justice Lilley, and a Commissioner of
the Supreme Court of Queensland, has been ap-
pointed by His Honor the Chief Justice a Commis-
sioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the
Colony of Queensland, under the second section of
"The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act,
1875," for the purpose of taking all such oaths,
affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section
mentioned.

the Patea County Council held on the 6th day
of February instant, is published in terms of the
88th section of "The Public Works Act, 1876."
