under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same,

NOTICE UNDER THE LAND TRANSFER ACT.

N OTICE is hereby given, that ANN HOGAN, of
Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago,
and Colony of New Zealand, Widow of John Hogan,
late of Macandrew Road, near Dunedin aforesaid,

deceased, has made application to the District Land
Registrar of the District of Otago to be registered
as proprietor in fee-simple of Allotments numbered
respectively 14 and 15, Block X., on the plan of the
Township of Forbury, in the said Provincial District,
as Devisee under the Will of the said John Hogan,
deceased; and that the said Ann Hogan will be so
registered as such proprietor unless caveat be lodged
forbidding the same within one calendar month from
the date of the publication of this notice.

BOROUGH COUNCIL-CITY OF WELLINGTON.

N OTICE is hereby given, that the Borough Coun-
cil of the City of Wellington having determined
to construct a street one hundred and two links wide
leading from the Northern side of Manners Street, in
the said City, to the foreshore of the Harbour of Port
Nicholson, by way of extension of Taranaki Street, a
Plan showing the extent, boundaries, and position of
the said proposed new street, and of the lands required
to be taken for the same, together with the names of
the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as the
same can be ascertained, has been deposited in the
office of the Town Clerk of the said City, and is open
to inspection by all persons during ordinary office
hours.

And Notice is hereby further given, that all per-
sons who may be affected by the execution of the
proposed works are required to set forth in writing
any well-grounded objection to the same, or to the
taking of the land required for the same, as set forth
in the said plan, and to send such writing to the
Borough Council of the said City within forty days
from the final publication of this notice.

GREYMOUTH AND KUMARA TRAMWAY COMPANY
(LIMITED).

N OTICE is hereby given of the intention of the
Promoters of the Greymouth and Kumara
Tramway to apply to His Excellency the Governor
for an Order authorizing the construction of a
Tramway Line between Greymouth and Kumara,
under "The Tramways Act, 1872."

The Promoters of the Greymouth and Kumara
Tramway intend to apply, on the 25th day of
February, 1877, to His Excellency the Governor for
an Order authorizing the construction of a Tramway
Line from Greymouth to Kumara.

The Line will be constructed with wooden rails on
a gauge of 3 feet; bridges will be built over the
Saltwater Creek and New River, and a wire tramway
or punt constructed over the Teremakau River. The
Line will be made through the town of Greymouth,
along the beach to the township of Paroa; thence
across the Saltwater Creek and New River to the
Teremakau Gorge; thence across the Teremakau
River to the town reserve of Whitecombe; thence
up the left-hand bank of the Teremakau River to the
Town Belt of Kumara; and thence along the north-
east belt of the town of Kumara to the Greenstone
Road.

The necessary documents, as provided by Part II.
of the Third Schedule of "The Tramways Act,
1872," will be deposited at the under-mentioned
places on and after the 4th day of February next:
that is to say, in the office of the Registrar of the
Supreme Court, at Hokitika; the office of the Paroa
