Certain Diseases declared Infectious.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section twenty of "The Public
Health Act, 1876," it is, amongst other things,
enacted that the Governor in Council may from time
to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, declare that
certain diseases are deemed to be infectious within
the meaning of the Act now under recital, and upon
the publication of any such Proclamation the dis-
eases mentioned therein shall be deemed to be infec-
tious accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
power and authority conferred upon me by the said
Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the following diseases, to
wit,-

Cholera,
Small-pox,
Scarlatina,
Diphtheria,
Enteric or Typhoid Fever,
Typhus Fever, and
Measles,

shall be and be deemed to be infectious diseases
within the meaning of the said Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same;
and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of
November, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

Times of Meetings of the Waste Lands Board of the
Land District of Wellington.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the first subsection of section
twenty-six of "The Waste Lands Adminis-
tration Act, 1876," it is provided that the Waste
Land Boards of the respective land districts shall sit
at the Land Office in the principal town of the land
district, at certain times to be determined by the
Board and approved of by the Governor, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette :

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand,
in exercise of the power and authority vested in me
in that behalf by "The Waste Lands Administration
Act, 1876," do hereby fix and determine that the
ordinary meetings of the Waste Lands Board of the
Land District of Wellington shall be held at the
Principal Land Office, at Wellington, on every
alternate Tuesday, at twelve o'clock noon.

The first meeting to be on Tuesday, the twelfth
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-six.

As witness the hand of His Excellency, this
fourth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-six.
