Maungakaramea Highway District.
THE Assessment List for 1876-77 for the above
district has been finally settled. Mr. WILLIAM
DONALDSON has been appointed Collector of Rates
from residents, and Mr. DAVID MILLER from non-
residents.

IN virtue of the power vested in me by Warrant
under the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
dated the 1st day of November, 1876, I do hereby
proclaim and appoint that the Stockyards erected on
Section No. 31, Township of Waitotara, in the Dis-
trict of Wellington, be a Public Pound within the
meaning of the Act of the Provincial Council of
Wellington, intituled "The Wellington Impounding
Act, 1874."
And further, I do hereby appoint
JAMES SOUTHCOMBE
to be the Keeper thereof.

spector of Sheep for the East Coast District,
that the flocks of the following persons are infected
with scab, viz.,-
F. G. MOORE, Glenburn—dated October 20,
1876;
DUNCAN CAMERON, Blairlogie, wether flock—
dated November 2, 1876.
Also, that he has granted a clean certificate to
C. E. C. HOOD, Glen Donald—dated October 28,
1876.

MCEWEN'S ROAD TO SECTION No. 78, HUTT DISTRICT.
IT is hereby notified that the road, one chain wide,
situate in the Hutt District, and hereinafter
described, is a Public Road.

The road commences at a point in the north-
eastern boundary of Section No. 19, Harbour Dis-
trict, 1330 links from the southern boundary of
Section No. 5, Horokiwi Road District, and runs
thence through the said Section No. 19 on a bearing
of 220° 47', 532 links, to a road running through
Sections Nos. 17, 18, and 19, Harbour District, from
the Hutt Road to the Horokiwi Road District.

the Act of the Provincial Council of Wellington,
Session No. XIII., I hereby authorize
Mr. A. BURLING,
Settler, Tiraumea, to kill any cattle, the property of
the Government of the Province on Crown lands in
the Tiraumea District.
Given under my hand this thirty-first October,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
six.

Wangaehu Highway Board Construction Order.
Wanganui, 28th September, 1876.
THE Wangaehu Highway Board having considered
the plans, sections, and other documents de-
posited in respect of the proposed Makirikiri and
Denlair lines of road, in the Wangaehu Highway
District, and having considered the various objections
made by the owners, lessees, and occupiers of the
intersected lands to the lines as selected and laid off
for the said proposed lines by the Board's Engineer,
the Board hereby order the said lines to be con-
structed according to the lines so selected and laid off.
