SUBDIVISIONS OF THE WAITAKI ROAD DISTRICT.
Weymouth Subdivision
Is bounded on the North-east by the Waitaki River;
South-east by the ocean; South-west by Landon
Stream to Block I., Papakaio Survey District; West
by east boundary of Blocks I., III., and VI., Papa-
kaio Survey District.
Landon Subdivision
Is bounded on the North by Papakaio Subdivision;
North-east by the Landon Stream; South-east by
the ocean; South by the Town of Oamaru; and
West by the Oamaru Stream.
Papakaio Subdivision
Is bounded towards the North-east by the Waitaki
River; towards the East by the Weymouth Sub-
division; towards the South and West by the
Oamaru Survey District and a road line; and again
towards the West by Block VIII. and part of Block
IV.; also by Blocks II. and V., Awamoko Survey
District.
Awamoko Subdivision
Is bounded towards the North-east by the Waitaki
River; towards the East by the Papakaio Sub-
division; towards the South and South-west by a
road line running through Blocks V. and VI., Awa-
moko District; and towards the West by the western
boundary of the Waitaki Road District.
AWAMOKO ROAD DISTRICT
Is bounded towards the North-east by the Waitaki
River; towards the East by the Waitaki Road
District; towards the South by the Waiareka Road
District; and towards the West by the western
boundaries of the Kakanui and Maruwenua Hundreds.
SUBDIVISIONS OF AWAMOKO ROAD DISTRICT.
Datchet Subdivision
Is bounded towards the North-east by the Waitaki
River; towards the East by the Awamoko Subdivision
of the Waitaki Road District; towards the South-
east by the Awamoko Creek; and towards the West
by the western boundary of the Maruwenua Hun-
dred.
Eton Subdivision
Is bounded towards the North-west by the Datchet
Subdivision; towards the East by part of the Awa-
moko Subdivision of the Waitaki Road District;
towards the South and South-east by a road line
running through Blocks I. and II., Maruwenua, and
X. and XI., Kauroo Survey Districts, being the water-
shed of the Awamoko Downs; and towards the West
by the western boundaries of the Kakanui and Maru-
wenua Hundreds.

Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at
Dunedin, this 24th day of October, 1876.

Delegation of Governor's Powers under "The Con-
stabulary Force Ordinance Amendment Act, 1868."
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The Constabulary Force Ordi-
nance Amendment Act, 1868," it is enacted
that it shall be lawful for the Governor, from time
to time, to delegate to any person or persons all or
any of the powers conferred on or vested in the
Governor by an Ordinance of the Lieutenant-
Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and con-
sent of the Legislative Council thereof, intituled
"An Ordinance to provide for the Establishment and
Maintenance of a Constabulary Force," and to restrict
any such delegation so as to enable the person or
persons named therein to exercise the powers afore-
said only within any province, county, or other divi-
sion of the colony, to be specified and described in
such delegation:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities in that behalf vested in me, do hereby
delegate to
The Hon. JAMES ALEXANDER BONAR
all the powers conferred on or vested in the Governor
by virtue of the said Ordinance, intituled "An Ordi-
nance to provide for the Establishment and Mainte-
nance of a Constabulary Force;" and I do hereby
restrict this delegation so as to enable the said James
Alexander Bonar to exercise the powers aforesaid
only within the Provincial District of Westland.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Nomanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; at Wel-
lington, this sixteenth day of November,
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-six.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Gold Fields
Act, 1866," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor in Council, under his hand and the
Public Seal of the Colony, from time to time to
delegate to the Superintendent of any province, or
such other person as the Governor may deem fit, all
or any of the powers vested in the Governor or the
Governor in Council by the Act now in recital,
except the powers conferred by sections twenty-two,
forty, forty-eight, sixty, ninety-six, and one hundred
and seven of the said Act, subject or not to any
limitations or restrictions as he may think fit, and in
like manner to alter or revoke any such powers:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the said
colony, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council thereof, and in exercise of the power and
authority for this purpose in me vested, do hereby
delegate unto
The Hon. JAMES ALEXANDER BONAR,
within the Provincial District of Westland, all the
powers vested in me under or by virtue of the
said "Gold Fields Act, 1866," except the powers
conferred by sections twenty-two, forty, forty-eight,
sixty, ninety-six, and one hundred and seven: Pro-
vided always that copies of all rules and regulations
made under the delegation aforesaid shall be forthwith
transmitted to the Colonial Secretary, in order that
