Revocation of Immigration Reserves in the Provinces
of Hawke's Bay and Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation made by His
Excellency the Governor, under the sixty-
first section of "The Immigration and Public Works
Act Amendment Act, 1871," bearing date the six-
teenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-four, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette on the 19th day of November in the same
year, certain lands in the Provinces of Hawke's Bay
and Wellington, described in the Schedule thereto,
were set apart and reserved for the purposes of im-
migration, and to be dealt with under the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Pro-
clamation as far as relates to the land described in
the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealnd, in pursuance of the power and au-
thority enabling me, do hereby revoke the said
Proclamation so far as relates to the land described
in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land being part of the Special
Settlement of Norsewood, in the Province of Hawke's
Bay, containing by admeasurement 1,050 acres more
or less, being bounded towards the North and North-
east by Sections 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157,
158, 159, 160, 161, 162, and 163, of the Special Set-
tlement of Norsewood, and by a public road leading
from Norsewood to the railway line; to the South and
South-east by the railway line; and to the West by
the Makotoku Stream.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United

Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Ma-
jesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at Wellington, this fourth
day of August, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

Districts under "The Registration of Births and
Deaths Act, 1875."

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Registration of Births and
Deaths Act, 1875," it is enacted that it shall
be lawful for the Governor from time to time, by
Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to divide
the colony for the purposes of the said Act into such
and so many districts as he shall think fit, and that
every such district shall be called by a distinct name,
and shall be a Registrar's District: And it is pro-
vided that the Governor may from time to time alter
or revoke any such Proclamation, and issue a new
Proclamation dividing the colony or any portion of
it anew into districts, or increasing the number of
districts, or altering the boundaries of any district or
districts, as from time to time he may think requisite:
And further that the districts existing at the time of
the coming into operation of the said Act, under any
of the Acts thereby repealed, shall, until altered under
the said Act, be deemed to be districts proclaimed
under the said Act:
