IT is hereby notified, that a Proclamation under
"The Hawke's Bay Special Settlements Act,
1872," under the hand of his Honor the Superin-
tendent of Hawke's Bay, bearing date the 28th day
of April, 1876, setting apart a block of land in the
Woodville District, as specified in the Schedule
hereto, for occupation as a Special Settlement, has
been approved by the Governor in Council, as pro-
vided by the 27th section of "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875."

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situated in the Woodville
District, containing by admeasurement two thousand
five hundred (2500) acres, more or less, bounded as
hereinafter described. Commencing at the south-
west corner of Rural Section No. 1, Woodville; and
being bounded to the East by that section and by
Section No. 3; to the South by Sections Nos. 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, and 9, and by Suburban Sections Nos. 24, 23,
18, and 17, and by Rural Sections Nos. 10 to 23;
to the North-east by a line bearing 120 degrees,
174 chains; to the North-west by a line bearing 235
degrees, 125 chains; to the South-west by a line
bearing 180 degrees, 135 chains to the main line of
road, and by the said road, 32 chains to the starting
point at Rural Section No. 1.
Award by the Commissioners of the Public Debts
Sinking Fund.
KNOW all men by these presents that whereas by
"The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868,"
it is provided that if and whenever it shall be
made to appear to the Commissioners of the Public
Debts Sinking Funds that any of the Debentures
issued under any of the Acts or Ordinances specified
in the First or Second Schedules thereto have been
converted or exchanged for Debentures issued under
"The Consolidated Loan Act, 1867," the Commis-
sioners shall from time to time determine what
amount of the Sinking Fund held by them, and created
for the payment of such first-mentioned Debentures,
shall be released, and that the Commissioners shall
make such determination by an award in writing:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the said
Commissioners that Debentures to the amount of
fifty thousand pounds, being the whole of the Deben-
tures issued under "The Otago Loan Ordinance,
1861-62," being one of the Ordinances named in the
Second Schedule to the said "Public Debts Sinking
Funds Act, 1868," have been converted or exchanged
for Debentures issued under "The Consolidated
Loan Act, 1867:" And whereas the sum of six thou-
sand one hundred and forty-three pounds nineteen
shillings and ninepence is held by the said Commis-
sioners as accumulated Sinking Fund for the
repayment of the said loan of fifty thousand pounds:
Now know ye that the Commissioners of the
Public Debts Sinking Funds by this their award in
writing, do determine that the said sum of six
thousand one hundred and forty-three pounds nine-
teen shillings and ninepence, being the whole of the
said accumulated Sinking Fund so held by them for
the payment of the Debentures issued under "The
Otago Loan Ordinance, 1861-62," shall be released
and paid over to the Provincial Account of the
Province of Otago, as provided by the sixth section
of "The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act Amend-
ment Act, 1869."
As witness our hands, this fifteenth day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-six.
