certain other newspapers were appointed Gazettes
under the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to
appoint other newspapers Gazettes in addition to
those appointed as aforesaid: Now therefore, I,
George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me, do hereby appoint that, for the districts
named in the Schedule hereto, the newspapers the
names whereof are in the said Schedule set opposite
to the names of such districts shall be the Gazettes
for such districts respectively under the said Act, in
addition to the newspapers appointed by the said
notices of the said twenty-second day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and of
the twelfth day of January instant.

Governors of New Zealand Institute reappointed.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The New Zealand Institute Act,
1867," provision is made for the appointment
of members of a Board of Governors of the New
Zealand Institute, and it is enacted that on the first
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-eight, and on the first day of November in each
succeeding year, three members of the said Board of
Governors (other than the Governor, the Colonial
Secretary, and the Superintendent of the Province
of Wellington, respectively, for the time being,)
shall retire from office, but shall be eligible for re-
appointment: And whereas the Hon. G. M. Water-
house, M.L.C.; W. T. L. Travers, Esq., F.L.S.; and
James Hector, Esq., M.D., C.M.G., F.R.S., three of
the members of the said Board of Governors, have
retired from office, and are eligible for reappoint-
ment under the provisions of the said Act:
And whereas by the said Act it is also provided
that, on the annual retirement of the said three mem-
bers, the successors of such retiring members shall
be appointed by the Governor:
Now therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in that behalf vested in me by the said
Act, do hereby reappoint

W. T. L. TRAVERS, Esq., F.L.S.; and
JAMES HECTOR, Esq., M.D., C.M.G., F.R.S.,
to be Governors of the Institution called the New
Zealand Institute.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; at Wellington, this twenty-seventh
day of January, in the year of our Lord

"The Public Health Act, 1872," His Excellency
the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-
mentioned gentleman to be a Public Vaccinator, to
perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act, and any regulations made
or to be made thereunder, for the district mentioned
in the Schedule hereto, and set opposite his name.
