THE following Proclamation by His Honor the
Superintendent of Auckland, under "The Auck-
land Waste Lands Act, 1874," is published for
general information.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Com-
mander of the Most Honorable Order of the
Bath, Superintendent of the Province of
Auckland.

By virtue of the powers in me vested by section 83,
of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1874," I do
hereby make the following Regulations for the im-
position of penalties for breaches of the Regulations
for granting water rights under Part VII. of the
said Act:–

  1. Every person committing any breach of the said
    Regulations, or of any part thereof, shall be liable to
    a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds (£20).

  2. Every person failing to comply with the con-
    ditions of any water right under the said Regulations,
    or with any part thereof, shall be liable to a penalty
    not exceeding twenty pounds (£20).

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of
the said Province, at Auckland, this
27th day of January, 1876.
