"Directions for Use.—Pour on to the hand ten or
fifteen drops, according to the surface to be treated.
Rub in till dry, and repeat the Balsam, continuing to
rub for fifteen or twenty minutes morning and even-
ing. Shake the bottle before each application.

"Price, 7s. 6d. per bottle."
The other portion of the trade mark is a red seal-
ing-wax seal upon the cork of the bottle, and within a
circle the letter "S.S." above the letters "V.S." There
is also a piece of red-silk ribbon upon the cork under
the seal, which is passed round the neck of the bottle,
the two ends of the ribbon projecting at either side of
the top of the cork.
Nature of the Article to which such Trade Mark is
intended to apply.
A Medical Preparation which the said SAMUEL
SLESINGER has invented, prepared, and manufactured
for the cure of Rheumatism and other Diseases.
