LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of land
hereinafter described will be brought under
the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870,"
unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within
one calendar month after the publication of this
notice.

ARCHIBALD MCCALLUM, Applicant. — 75
acres, more or less, part of Section 70, Omaka Dis-
trict. Bounded on the North by the Opawa River;
on the East by Section 71, 5100 links; on the South
by a public road, 1375 links; and on the West by a
line parallel to the said eastern boundary, terminated
by the said public road and the Opawa River. (Alfred

L.S.A., intend to apply to the Registrar in
Auckland to have my name inserted in the list of
Medical Practitioners in New Zealand.

In the matter of a Bill to authorize a certain Com-
pany, incorporated under "The Joint Stock Com-
panies Act, 1860," under the name of "The Napier
Gas Company," to supply the Town of Napier and
the Inhabitants thereof with Gas, and for other
purposes relating thereto, and to the object for
which the said Company has been established.

NOTICE is hereby given, that application is in-
tended to be made to the General Assembly
of New Zealand by "The Napier Gas Company,
Limited," for leave to bring in a Bill to authorize
"The Napier Gas Company, Limited," to supply the
Town of Napier with gas, and to grant to the said
Company the following powers and authorities:—

  1. To open and break up, under the superintend-
    ence of the person having the control of the same,
    the soil and pavements of streets within the Borough
    of Napier, to break up bridge sewers, drains, or
    tunnels, to lay down gas pipes, to make sewers, and
    to erect pillars and lamps, and to do other works
    necessary for supplying gas to the Town of Napier
    as aforesaid.
  2. To contract with the Corporation of the Borough
    of Napier, or with any person or persons therein, for
    supplying gas or letting meters to them, or any of
    them.
  3. To enter upon buildings to ascertain the quan-
    tities of gas consumed.
  4. To levy tolls or rents for gas consumed, and to
    cut off and take away the supply of gas, and to enter
    upon buildings and take away gas pipes on non-
    payment of such tolls or rents.
  5. To erect Gasworks within the said Town of
    Napier.
    The limits within which it is intended that the said
    Gasworks shall be erected and made are as follows:—
    All the land known as the Town of Napier, except
    that portion of the town which is situated on Meeanee
    Spit. The boundaries whereof are—Commencing at
    the Pilot Station, following the sea beach in an
    easterly direction to the point of the Ahuriri Bluff,
    rounding the Bluff, and proceeding along the sea
    beach to the southern extremity of the Town of
    Napier; there it crosses at the southern boundary of
    Section No. 586 to the inner lagoon by Wellesley
    Road and Hyderabad Road to Pandora Point; thence
    in a straight line to the beacon on the most westerly
    point of Maori Island; thence in a straight line to
    the starting point.

It is also proposed to erect works for the making
and supplying of gas upon Town Sections Nos. 314
and 315, Napier.

Copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited in
the Office of the Examiner of Standing Orders, on or
before the 10th day of July, 1875.

298th clause, "Municipal Corporations Act,
1867," the Council of the City of Auckland declare
the following streets, situate within the limits of the
city, to be Public Streets within the meaning of the
said Act:—

Wellesley Street East (continuation).
Rutland Street (continuation).
Alfred Street.
O'Rorke Street.
