Warrant appointing an Additional Polling Place.
NORMANBY, Governor.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by Warrant under his hand, from time
to time to appoint Polling Places for each Electoral
District within or within one mile of the limits thereof,
and to appoint any one of such Polling Places to be
the Principal Polling Place for the district, and all
or any of such Polling Places from time to time to
abolish, and, if he think fit, to appoint other Polling
Places in lieu of those abolished, and that every such
Warrant shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette: Provided always that no Polling Place
shall be appointed by the Governor under the said
Act, unless he shall be first satisfied that the place to
be appointed is more convenient than any other for
at least twenty electors to record their votes thereat:
Now know ye that I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zea-
land, in pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Act, do hereby appoint the follow-
ing place to be an additional Polling Place for the
Electoral District hereinafter specified, for the election
of Members of the House of Representatives for the
District of Wairau, namely, -
The Public Hall, Marlborough Town.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; at Dun-
edin, this twentieth day of May, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five.

of the Province of Westland on behalf of the Gover-
nor, intituled
"The Fencing Ordinance, 1875;"
"The Westland Ferries Ordinance, 1875;"
"The Westland Education Ordinance Amend-
ment Ordinance, 1875;"
"The Westland Toll Gate Ordinance, 1875;"
"The Trespass and Impounding Ordinance
Amendment Ordinance, 1875;" and
"The Appropriation Ordinance, 1875,"
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency
has not been advised to exercise his power of dis-
allowance in respect to them.

JOHN MARSHMAN, Esq.,
to be Receiver of Land Revenue for the Province of
Canterbury, as on the 1st instant; and
JOHN TUCKER ROBINSON, Esq.,
to be Receiver of Land Revenue for the Province of
Marlborough, as on the 10th instant.

Notice under Section 12 of "The Public Revenues
Act, 1872."
Treasury,
Wellington, 10th May, 1875.
OFFICERS holding advances of Public Money are
hereby required to pay to the Public Account,
at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand,
the total unexpended balances in their hands, on or
before Saturday, the 26th day of June proximo, so as
to close absolutely all Advance Accounts on that
date, and forthwith to transmit the Bank Receipt for
such repayments to the Treasury at Wellington.
As respects disbursements which officers may re-
quire to make between the date of refund of their
balances and the 30th June, special requisitions for
the amount required are to be made by telegram, but
such requisitions are not to include provisions for
expenditure of the financial year 1875-76. Sums
required for the service of that year are to be applied
for by post in the usual form.
