EIGHTH MATCH-(Skirmishing).
Targets, 6 x 2 feet; centre, 2 feet across. Competitors were formed into squads of equal strength, who fell in as
skirmishers in extended order, any position; a target being opposite to each at an unknown distance. They fired at
unknown distances, on sound of bugle; advancing or retiring, by word of command. Time allowed, 10 minutes. One
point for each hit added to the score.
