THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Payments of subscriptions may be made in ad-
vance, for which discount at the rate of two pounds
ten shillings per centum per annum, or at such other
rate as the Committee may from time to time in
that behalf, by resolution, appoint, shall be allowed
for periods of not less than six months.

AMENDMENT OF RULE VII.
The Annual General Meeting of the Society shall
be held on the Wednesday next ensuing the first
subscription night in May in each year, at 7.30 p.m.,
in lieu of the time fixed by the second clause of the
seventh rule.

AMENDMENT OF RULE IX.
The second clause of the ninth rule is hereby re-
pealed.

When a shareholder receives an advance, he shall
pay interest upon the full amount from the day of
allotment thereof, at such rate of interest, not being
less than eight pounds per centum per annum, nor
more than ten pounds per centum per annum, as the
Committee shall from time to time in that behalf, by
resolution, fix and appoint; and such interest shall
be payable along with the said shareholder's sub-
scriptions; and he shall be subject and bound to pay
fines for arrears of interest at the same rate as and
in addition to the fines provided in the said rules
with regard to arrear of subscriptions.

No resolution of the Committee fixing or altering
the rate of interest shall come into force until ten
days after the passing thereof, and until it shall have
been published at least twice in some newspaper cir-
culating in Invercargill.

vene a Special Meeting of the Members and Share-
holders of the said Southland Building, Land, and
Investment Society, to be held in the Council Hall,
Invercargill, on Wednesday, the twelfth day of May,
1875, at nine o'clock p.m., for the purpose of con-
sidering the above-proposed amendments and altera-
tions of the Rules and Constitution of the said
Society.

TAKE NOTICE, that John Row Mabin, of the
City of Nelson, Trustee of the estate of
William Stavert, late of the said City of Nelson,
Merchant and Auctioneer, a bankrupt creditor of
"The Culliford Gold Mining Company, Registered,"
intends to present a petition to this Honourable
Court, on Friday, the seventh day of May instant, or
so soon thereafter as he can be heard, praying that the
said "Culliford Gold Mining Company, Registered"
may be wound up.
