CHARLES FREDERICK WRAY PALLISER, Esq.,
to be a Clerk in the Colonial Treasury.
Appointment to date from the 1st instant.

Tenders for Bookbinding.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 11th February, 1874.
TENDERS for Bookbinding required by the New
Zealand Government during the twelve calendar
months commencing from the 1st April next, will be
received at this Office until noon on Monday, the
2nd March next.

CONDITIONS.

The Contractor will be required to execute such
work only as the Government Printer may find it
necessary to give out.

All work placed in the hands of the binder must be
executed as expeditiously as possible. Any unneces-
sary delay will render the Contractor liable to have
the work taken out of his hands and executed else-
where; any extra expense incurred in so doing to be
made good by the Contractor.

The Contractor to submit samples of the leather
and cloth with his tender.

The tender to include cost of carriage to and from
the Printing Office.

Tenderers failing to take up their accepted tenders,
will be disqualified from tendering for Government
work for a period of twelve months.

The Government will not necessarily accept the
lowest or any tender.

A bond for the sum of £300—the Contractor in
the sum of £100, and two approved sureties £100
each—for the due performance of the contract will
be required to be entered into within a month of the
acceptance of the contract; failing which the contract
may be again advertised, or another tender accepted.

Tenders must be enclosed in an envelope marked
"Tender for Bookbinding," and deposited in the
Tender Box at the Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, or (if sent by post) addressed to the
Hon. the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
