Volunteer Corps disbanded.
Colonial Defence Office,
Wellington, 29th July, 1874.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
disband the under-mentioned Volunteer Corps,
at their own request, viz.,-
The Hawke's Bay Yeomanry Cavalry Volun-
teers,
The Wanganui Cavalry Volunteers,
The Manawatu Rangers Rifle Volunteers,
The Wanganui Veteran Rifle Volunteers.
And to discontinue the services of the under-
mentioned Volunteer Corps, viz.,-
The Howick Troop, Royal Cavalry Volunteers,
The Nos. 1 and 2 Companies, Victoria (Auck-
land) Rifle Volunteer Cadets,
The Auckland Naval Volunteer Cadets.
The under-mentioned gentlemen have therefore
ceased to hold the rank of officers in the Volunteer
Force; their commissions having, under the provisions
of "The Volunteer Act, 1865," lapsed: -
